Finding the right expression that fits seamlessly in the right context is my 'Eureka!' moment and I am fortunate that I get to experience it ever so often. My translation work is meticulous, detail-oriented, and right on schedule, and not many translations have escaped my eagle eye when it comes to editing.
Interpreting
While translation needs time and patience in order to see the ultimate results, interpreting gives me instant gratification in that regard. I enjoy personally interacting with my clients and their interlocutors to bridge the comprehension gap when two parties, who cannot understand each other, need to communicate. I interpret in the English<>Hindi and English<>Marathi language combinations.

So many of us have enjoyed foreign films with the aid of subtitles. While subtitling, I strive to preserve the meaning and emotion of the original dialogue, while keeping it short and concise and staying culturally sensitive to the target audience.

I have been teaching French and German to students ever since I was a college student. I am now a substitute French instructor at Napa Valley College and teach 6th grade French at the Napa Valley Language Academy. Building a relationship with my students and watching their eyes light up when they can express their thoughts successfully in a new language is one of my most fulfilling experiences.
